Senior Investigating Officer Attends Tees Rural Crime Meeting to Discuss Naheed Khan Murder Investigation & to Highlight New Crimestoppers Reward

This morning, Senior Investigating Officer, T/Detective Chief Inspector Mark Dimelow attended a Tees Rural Crime Forum to appeal to the farming community for their assistance with the Naheed Khan murder investigation.

Around 40 people were at the meeting including Police and Crime Commissioner Barry Coppinger and members of councils and partner agencies from the Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool and Redcar and Cleveland areas.

The meeting provided the investigating team with an opportunity to discuss the Naheed Khan investigation and to appeal to people from the farming community to come forward if they noticed any suspicious activity on their land during May and June 2018.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, people can visit https://mipp.police.uk/ and provide information direct to the investigation team.

Independent charity Crimestoppers has renewed their appeal over the suspected murder of Naheed Khan.

They are now offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information that the charity receives that leads to identifying the location of Naheed’s body.

If you would like to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously their UK Contact Centre is open 24/7 on 0800 555 111 or you can use their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
