Witness Appeal Following Alleged Incident at Middlesbrough Football Match
 
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly chanted racist language at a Middlesbrough FC football match.
 
The incident happened at the Riverside Stadium in block 60 of the south stand during the Middlesbrough v Wigan football match on Tuesday 20th August.
 
A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and he has been released under investigation.
 
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PSI Kate Evans on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the event number 144157. Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
