Stockton CID Arrests in 24 Hours
Officers from Stockton CID have made a number of arrests and one charge over the last 24 hours in connection with two burglaries, attempted thefts from motor vehicles and an attempted robbery.

Yarm Road: A man, 35, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and currently remains in custody.

Mulberry Wynd – A Neighbourhood Watch group alerted officers about a man attempting to access vehicles in the area.
Officers attended the scene and a man, 28, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and he remains in custody.

Westbourne Street – Officers were called to a report of an attempted robbery where a man, 39, had been knocked unconscious.
A man, 36, was arrested and currently remains in custody.

Billingham – A man has been charged with burglary dwelling and theft following a reported burglary earlier this month.
It is believed a purse was stolen from the premises whilst the elderly female victim was still inside the property
The man will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday 12th August.

This is part of Cleveland Police’s Operation Phoenix; a summer long operation to improve public service, help vulnerable people, tackle serious violence and prevent crime.
