Man Assaulted on Albert Road in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a man, 34, was assaulted near to Flares on Albert Road in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred at 3am on Sunday 14th July when the victim was approached from behind by a man who punched him in the face, causing the victim to fall to the ground.

As a result of the assault, the victim suffered a broken jaw and an injury to his head. He received treatment in hospital and has now been released.  

It is believe a man assisted the victim following the assault and officers are appealing for this man to come forward as he may be able to assist with enquires.

The man responsible for the assault is described as being a white male, 6 ft tall and of large build and he was wearing a short sleeved white t shirt.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the man is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting event number 119092.
