Alert message sent 10/06/2019 15:00:00

Information sent on behalf of Cleveland Police

Man Charged with Attempted Murder On the morning of Saturday 8th June police were called to a report of an incident at the Holiday Inn Express in Middlesbrough. It was reported that a woman in her 40s had suffered injuries to her head and neck. Officers attended the scene, and a 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder and appeared at court this morning. The victim received treatment at hospital and has now been released. It is believed following the incident and prior to the arrest, the man was speaking to two occupants of a silver Vauxhall Astra which was parked outside the hotel (facing towards Corporation Road). It was reported that the occupants had removed a pushchair from the vehicle whilst they spoke with the man and officers are appealing for these people to come forward as they may be able to assist with enquiries. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the occupants of the Vauxhall Astra is asked to contact DC Jonathan Holborow from Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 095636.
