Man Assaulted in Redcar
Police are appealing for information after a 38-year-old man was assaulted to the rear of Westfield Court in Dormanstown, Redcar.
The incident occurred at 7:30am on Friday 28th December when a man approached the victim and verbally abused him and then attacked him with a wooden object.
As a result of the assault, the victim sustained cuts and bruises to his head and arms but did not receive hospital treatment.
Officers believe this was an unprovoked attack.
The man responsible is described as being a white male, of thin build with short brown hair and he was wearing a blue jacket with a black stripe running across it and he was riding a bicycle.
