Vehicle Stolen Following Burglary in Redcar

Police are appealing for information after a silver Vauxhall Corsa was stolen from a property on Greenhow Walk in Redcar following a burglary at the house.

The incident occurred yesterday, Sunday 8th April at 2:20pm.

Two men both aged 19-years-old were arrested on suspicion of burglary and have both been released under investigation.

The car was later covered after being sighted in the area (including the field behind the Primary Care Hospital). It is believed a large group of youths were around when the vehicle was recovered and officers would like anyone who witnessed the vehicle being driven or anyone with video footage of it to please contact officers.

Anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information is asked to contact DC Cat McKenzie on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111/ or quoting event number 060886.
