Man and Woman Assaulted in Saltburn

Police are appealing for information after a man, 53, and a woman, 28, were assaulted on Milton Street in Saltburn.

The incident occurred yesterday, Saturday 7th April at 8:50pm.

As a result of the assaults the female victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital where she was treated for hand injuries (broken fingers). The male suffered minor injuries.

Three juveniles were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released under investigation while inquiries continue. 

Officers would like to thank residents of Saltburn for their assistance and continued support.

Neighbourhood officers will be conducting high visibility foot and mobile patrols in the Saltburn area during the coming days and nights, so please feel free to approach officers to talk if you are in the area.

Anyone who may have been in the vicinity at that time who may have witnessed anything are asked to contact Sergeant Chris Keightley on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111/ or quoting event number 060504.
