Attempt Robbery in Dormanstown


Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery occurred in the RSK Convenience Store on Staithes Road in Dormanstown.

The incident occurred at 5am on Sunday 4th February when a man entered the store and threatened the shopkeeper with an object and attempted to steal money from the till.


The man is described as being a white male, around 5 ft 8” – 5 ft 10” tall and he was wearing a black balaclava, a dark coat, grey tracksuit bottoms and he was carrying a rucksack.


Following the incident, the man fled the shop empty handed and made off on a mountain bike.

The shopkeeper was uninjured.
