PC BIDE Introduction

Hello everyone,

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself as your Neighbourhood Police Officer for the Rural West area.

Whilst I am new to the ward, I am not new to neighbourhood policing and am passionate about tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Since joining the area, I have already begun addressing concerns raised by residents, including tackling anti-social behaviour within the Jackson Park ward, conducting Community Speed Watch activity in Elwick Village, utilising AS13 warning letters for problematic youths causing distress within the community, and seizing two illegal e-scooters.

My approach to policing is simple: listen to residents, identify the real problems affecting the community, and work with partners to find effective solutions. I am committed to ensuring that people feel safe in their neighbourhoods and can enjoy living in Rural West without fear of crime or anti-social behaviour.

Over the coming weeks, I will be arranging a community meeting to give residents the opportunity to meet me, raise concerns, share ideas, and help shape local policing priorities. Your views are invaluable, and I look forward to working together to make a positive difference across Rural West.

I look forward to meeting many of you soon.
