Vehicles seized

This afternoon East Cleveland NPT acted upon complaints regarding Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council being unable to access the alleyways in Carlin How. This has impacted on residents unable to have their refuse collected and put further demand on the Council refuse collectors.

Police conducted checks on vehicles in the alleys and surrounding streets, 4 were found to be registered SORN (Statutory Off Road Notice) with the DVLA.

A SORN vehicle must not be parked on a public highway or land public have access to.

4 vehicles were Seized and will be crushed unless the keepers pay the Vehicle excise licence fee from when the vehicle was declared SORN
