Update from WHITBY WALK/SPURN WALK |
||
|
Following our earlier message regarding reports of unknown individuals trying car door handles on Whitby Walk and Spurn Walk, I would like to provide residents with an update and reassurance. Police have now visited the affected streets and surrounding areas, and crime prevention flyers have been delivered through letterboxes to remind residents of simple steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of vehicle crime. At this time, no thefts or damage have been reported, which is encouraging. The activity reported appears to involve checking for vehicles that have been left insecure. While this is understandably concerning, taking basic precautions such as ensuring vehicles are locked, removing valuables, and reporting suspicious behaviour can significantly reduce the risk. We will continue to monitor the area and remain visible within the Burn Valley neighbourhood. Residents are encouraged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity either online or via 101. In an emergency, always dial 999. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping to keep our community safe. PC3396 BIDE | ||
