I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle crime (theft from or theft of), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

There has been a recent increase in vehicle thefts in the local area. A large number of the vehicles that have been broken into were unlocked. Please make sure your vehicle is locked, especially keyless vehicles. Please do not leave anything of value in your vehicles, even if it is out of sight.
Placing car keys in a metal tin or a Faraday box acts as a protective container for keyless car keys, blocking signals to prevent thieves from intercepting key signals from outside your home.
Please report any suspicious people that you see in your street to police, via 101. Most of the thefts have occurred late at night and in the early hours of the morning.
