Dangerous Driving / Ebike

Policing in the heart of your neighbourhood this winter 👮‍♂️💙❄️

A teenager’s been arrested and questioned on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving with no insurance.

Our neighbourhood officers also seized this electric pedal powered E-motorbike (pictured) after it had been persistently ridden in an antisocial manner around Redcar town centre 🏍️ 

The bike had been adapted and the chain removed so that normal pedalling would have no effect, and after being modified it could achieve higher speeds.

The 15-year-old boy was released on bail while police enquiries continue but the incident meant he had twice breached an ASBI (antisocial behaviour injunction) served on him by our colleagues Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council You can read more here: https://orlo.uk/LDdXc
