Local Priorities House burglary Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding House burglary, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Officers are reminding the public to keep their doors and windows locked after a recent rise in residential burglaries, attempt burglaries and theft from vehicle in the Hartburn and Fairfield.

Residents of Grangefield and Bishopsgarth/Elmtree as the surrounding ward please be extra vigilant.

Burglars are often opportunistic thieves who will seek to take advantage of doors or windows that are unlocked or easy to force open.

Vehicles have also been targeted so it’s important to keep valuables out of sight and ensure cars are locked.

Investigations are on going and if you have any information regarding recent incidents please ring 101.
