Incident at Scholars Rise - Middlesbrough - Sunday 26th October 2025

A fourth man had been arrested following an incident in Scholars Rise, Middlesbrough, on Sunday evening, 26th October.

Around 11:10pm there was a report of a firearm discharged on Scholars Rise and a man was taken to hospital with leg injuries. The man remains in hospital at this time.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

Three others previously arrested on suspicion of drugs offences, a 16-year-old boy, a 19-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, have all now been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.

Chief Superintendent Rachel Stockdale said: “As we continue working around the clock to identify those involved in this incident, I want to reassure the local community that we will maintain a highly visible presence in the area over the coming days and anyone who has concerns or information is urged to approach those officers, or call us on 101.

“We condemn the behaviour of those involved causing fear, alarm and distress in our communities and we are doing everything we can to help keep people safe.”
